Okay so I can never keep up with blogging or diary keeping, mostly because my life is kinda boring. But I'm trying it yet again because I'm sort of starting a new chapter in life.
I've been busy settling into a new environment and so I've been kinda getting used to life like this. I need more decorations though, my room is kinda bland. Besides that, I've not really done much but what I could talk about is my recent habits. Lately I haven't really played many games or do anything interesting, I find it really hard to focus and distract my brain from all the shit going on inside of it. Part of that I think is due to my mental issues, but I think a big part of that has been due to just the brainrot reaching me. Even writing this blog right now, I have some random youtube video playing and I'm not even paying attention to it. I've been trying to curb that, so actually inbetween the last sentence and now, I've moved to my laptop.
Speaking of my laptop, I'm sort of using this as a way to stop getting distracted by things on my desktop. I find that having a nice keyboard and mouse makes my adhd brain go crazy and I end up getting distracted easily, with my laptop, ironically it's the dodgy ass trackpad that keeps me fixed on what I'm doing. I mean this thing is a piece of garbage, so I don't want to have to deal with opening youtube on it. I've also made it very minimal, I'm using linux mint, and I've customised my entire desktop to look like windows 7 for the Frutiger aero look.
On top of using my laptop a little more, I've also been getting into playing games on my old game boy advance SP.
As you can see, I'm currently playing Pokemon Emerald. This is actually the first ever pokemon game I played as a kid, although at that time it was pretty out dated. I remember I got it in a boot sale as a kid and I thought it looked awesome just from the art on the cartridge. I spent ages on that game as a kid, but never actually beat all the gyms as unfortunately I lent it to a friend who then wiped my save game, and I never touched it again (And eventually lost it). While the other pokemon games (including the 3rd gen remake Omega Ruby) I did at least beat the elite four, I never went back to emerald until now.
Actually, now I think of it, I just thought of an epic new thing I can add onto my blog posts...

Okay so first of all, I've actually only recently started. So I've met Prof. Birch, and got my starter pokemon. I've made my way to Petalburg City and as you may know, cannot fight in the gym there yet. I started making my way towards Petalburg woods through Route 104 (pictured to the right). It was about here that I decided that actually, I should return to route 102 and try to catch a Ralts, and then catch a Swellow in route 104. After some time, as these are a little less common than the other pokemon here, I caught both of them. And with them I now have a solid team for the first gym. After that it was your typical training arc, and now I currently have the below team:
Blem (Mudkip)
Lvl: 8 - This lil fucker is my starter pokemon. An adorable mudkip named Blem... because it looks like he make a blem noise.
Rei (Poochyena)
Lvl: 7 - This doggo is going to be my second in command up until the end game. For reasons unknown, I always have to have a dog pokemon, and this good girl is the one I chose.
Skye (Taillow)
Lvl: 7 - Why did I call them Skye? Well because they fly in sky of course...
Ralts
Lvl: 7 - I didn't name this one, but mostly because I want my future Gardevoir to be called... Gardevoir
Ziggy (Zigzagoon)
Lvl: 7 - Not much to say about this one. I have bonded with him, Ziggy is a cute name after all. But I'm not sure if he's staying
Wormie (Silicoon)
Lvl: 7 - Sorry bug pokemon fans... She's not staying for long...
And so that's it for now... perhaps I'll keep doing these pokemon updates whenever I make blog posts in the future.
